Hi...

Hi... I have created this blog under the name of Mary.

Reason ??? This is Hui's English name used in her phonics enrichment class.The teacher wanted her to choose an English name since she does not have one. It will help her teacher & classmates to remember her name easier. This is also the start for her to relate alphabets sounds with words ("m" "a (sound of short a)" = "ma", "r" "y (sound of short i)" = "ry" ... together sounds as Mary) as she gets to write her name on the white board first thing in class.

The teacher will give points beside each students' name on the white board whenever they answer correctly. At the end of each lesson (which is the happiest moment), they will diligently count the points and ask the teacher for stickers (1 sticker for 5 points). They can accumulate the stickers and exchange them for gifts. This is how the teacher motivates them to learn 8-)
